In short: You get 1 PokerPoints for every 10 dollar cent or 1.5 PokerPoints for every 10 Euro cent that you contribute to the rake.

Say for example:
You’re playing heads-up (that means one-on-one) and at the end of the hand, the rake taken was $1. This means that you AND your opponent will each receive 5 PokerPoints for that round as you both gave an equal $0.50 to the rake.  

You're playing a Euro table, at the end of the hand the rake taken was €2. This means that you AND your opponent will each receive 15 PokerPoints for that round.

Although PokerPoints aren't awarded during normal tournament play, we do give you 1 PokerPoint for every $0.10 or 1.5 PokerPoints for every €0.10 that you pay in tournament fees. So, if you enter a $10/ $1 tournament, you'll get 10 PokerPoints or if you enter a €10/ €1 tournament, you'll get 15 PokerPoints.

Although PokerPoints are non-redeemable / non-transferrable, and have no real cash value, they're still a great way to WIN FREE CASH!

How do PokerPoints help me win?

There are several reasons for playing in PokerPoints Freerolls. For one, PokerPoints freerolls require you to play regular cash games. This means that you're getting the necessary practice you need to become a better player. Furthermore, you're playing against other regular QC Poker Tour players, so you'll probably know many of your opponents - which in turn increases your chances to win since you probably know how these people play their game.
